Born and raised in Iowa, I packed up my Midwestern values and embarked on a global adventure. My first career whisked me away to the majestic mountains of Colorado and Montana, and later as a Military contractor, I experienced life in captivating locales like Turkey, Japan, Germany, England, and Italy.
The travel bug bit me . . . hard, and I spent my free moments exploring exotic destinations, absorbing diverse cultures. My journeys led me to the pyramids of Egypt, the bustling streets of Hong Kong, the tranquil beaches of Okinawa, the historic charm of the Czech Republic, and the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand.
For the past 16 years, Massachusetts has been my home. On Cape Cod, I'm fondly dubbed a "wash-ashore," a playful term for those not native to the area. Trading Boston's hustle for Chatham's serene beaches, I found my forever home and cherish every moment of my "washed ashore" life.
An animal lover at heart, I recently adopted a mother-daughter cat duo, Grumpy and Wheezy, from a local shelter.
